Shoutout to my lovely buddy, Faithy Igho. Thanks for asking me to do this post

I’m going to talk about

  • Why I wrote the book
  • Pre-orders / FREE STUFF
  • What’s going on with the cover
  • Where you can buy the book
  • Fun little surprises you can look forward to

Why Did I Write “STORY STORY: How I Found Ways to Make a Difference and Do Work I Love”?

I wrote this book because I think it’s a good story.

We are in an age where we have so much information that I don’t think anybody needs me to write a book about how to make a difference or how to work that you love.

If you’re looking for that information, there are so many great resources that cover that.

BUT nobody can tell my story the way that I can tell my story.

Nobody can share with you how I have found ways to make a difference and do work that I love as a writer, speaker and, now, author.

It took me four years to write this book

Four years

And I have my brother and sister to thank for even getting to this point.

They were the ones that kicked me in the pants and told me to stop being a perfectionist about it.

When I first started working on my manuscript, I wanted to write the perfect story with the perfect ending.

I also felt that I needed to lie. I felt as though I needed to present myself as a know it all on the topic of making a difference.

But the deeper i got into my writing, the more I realized that that’s not who I am.

I didn’t want to write a book telling you how to live your life.

I just wanted to share my story and that’s exactly what I’ve done.

And I promise you, it’s great.

If nothing else, read the book because I wrote about my ex-boyfriend in it.

I’m just saying.

Free Stuff You’re Getting with STORY STORY

For those of you that were expecting pre-orders in January, my plans have changed slightly and I will not be offering pre-orders.

BUT, it’s for a good reason.

I realized that if I offered pre-orders in January, then it would have been very difficult to offer free stuff as well.

See? I told you I had a good reason.

I want to make sure that the people that are most interested in ordering STORY STORY don’t miss out on all the free stuff I have planned (sneak peek here).

So, rather than offer pre-orders, I’ll just wait until March 23 to release the book.

A few people have asked about where to buy STORY STORY

The book would be available in both ebook and print format.

You’ll be able to buy either format at Barnes and Noble, Amazon, Kobo, and everywhere you would normally buy a book.

What about THE BOOK COVER?

My editor and I have finished editing the manuscript and my graphic designer just sent me the final proof of the book cover.

*insert excited scream here*

I’ll be showing the book cover to my lovely email subscribers in a private video next week, so make sure you have subscribed.

when you subscribe, you will get one blog update and one private video every Monday. It’s the best way to procrastinate on Mondays. Subscribe

Fun little surprises you can look forward to

I have several promotional videos coming out soon.

I want you to specifically look for the video of when I see my book for the first time.

I’ve often wondered how i’ll react.

Will I cry?
Will I be disappointed?
Will I be excited?
Will I dance?

I don’t know. So look out for that video.

Also, look out for the book trailer video.

I can’t give away too many details about it just yet but all i can say is that it will be freaking HILARIOUS.

Even if you don’t look for the book on March 23, make sure you look for the book trailer video. You’ll split your sides with laughter. Thanks for being on this journey with me.

Life is for living and I hope we all live ours well :) xo
